farewell party

wow - our friends/family threw us the most wonderful farewell party - we were totally floored by the people who came to say goodbye to us - people from all circles of our life here in portland.  andy and i were just overwhelmed by the love and the thoughtfulness that went into the event. thank you to all of you who came and a HUGE thank you to erin p, britt, ingrid, elissa and lauren for all you did to make the party SO SPECIAL. we will never forget it.







the party was held at the lucky lab pub in multnomah village - this little part of portland is a special place for us. our first house was right near here and we have spent lots of time in multnomah village. the decor was so cute and thoughtful, the food and beer was great but the big surprise was the book of pics and letters that was compiled for us.  letters and pictures from friends and family - this is one of the best gifts i have EVER received.



after a fun night talking and laughing w/ friends and family, we got home, sent our babysitter home and climbed into bed so we could read through our book. many laughs and tears - and for a split second we thought "wait. what are we doing?! why are we moving?!"... we know we have so much to look forward to, and we know our reasons for this move... BUT it is hard, especially since we are amazingly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people.

now the party is over and it's down to business - we have 2 weeks to pack up and handle 43,782 details before we pack the truck and move east.
