tatem: 10 months

tatem june is 10 months old - i swear it was just yesterday that i was posting her 9 month blog. this has been a busy month with our big uprooting from portland to spokane. tatem has been a trooper and has hardly missed a beat through the whole move (except for a few rough teething nights :/)

wes has started calling tatem "tay-tay" or "tee-tee" and both have kind of stuck this month. the two kids just love e/o. tatem is so FUN these days. she has just started to become more interested in books, which is fun now that we are reading lots. another new favorite for tay is crawling into small spaces - cabinets, side table shelves, etc. she is pulling up on everything and cruising a bit if she's motivated enough! if she is standing and drops a toy, she can sloooooowly bend down and pick it up and stand back up again (holding on to something of course!).

tatem is loving peek-a-boo and even can do it herself! a few weeks ago i was changing her diaper and she put her lovey over her face and then took it off with a huge smile and eyebrows raised. then she did it again and again while i narrated the whole thing (where's tatem? peek-a-boo!).  it really is so crazy these days b/c we can see her literally changing into a toddler as the days pass - just in little ways she does things and interacts.  now she will sit on her knees as she plays with a toy and then crawl off to find something else. such a big girl.

it is amazing all the sounds coming out of her mouth! tatem loves to imitate sounds - saying uh-oh, dada, mama, neh-neh, papapa or anything like that to imitate us.

tatem is loving the stairs at our new house - she has already mastered climbing up them. she'll take 3 or 4 at a time, but is still quite dangerous as she has no concept of falling down them. such a busy age! we have been unpacking all week and it's amazing how long it takes to just unpack one box when you are constantly watching a baby who may or may not be eating some sharp object off the floor, heaving herself off the top of the stairs, or trying to pull up somewhere she shouldn't be.

tatem is nursing about 4 times a day and once during the night - still 8 teeth but i think more are on their way. she loves food and really doesn't like any baby food. this is great, except i still feel limited in what i can really feed her... meal time is always a big effort!

i had to add this video andy took of T and her new crawl. she has been doing this since just over 9 months - i love that she's no longer army crawling, plus this method is just so much more efficient!
