home for christmas

for those of you who follow me on instagram, these photos will be a repeat b/c i left my camera at my mom's house christmas eve. so we are getting all phone-photos this year, and my faves were insta'd. anyway, what a wonderful christmas we had - our FIRST christmas in 14 years that we didn't travel home - we were already here!

highlights from the past 2 days are:

spending a relaxed christmas eve morning out to eat with the kids at one of our fave places, huckleberry's; going to aunt sam and uncle tim's for a little cousins gift-exchange; driving thru the snow flurries to pick out ornaments and listening to christmas music; being home; watching wes and redd play and laugh and enjoy e/o at nana&papa's house; tatem giving us all a "silent night" sleeping all the way till 6:30a.m.; being HOME for christmas morning(!), seeing wesley's face when he realized santa's cookies were gone, along w/ the reindeer food we left out the night before; hearing wes say that he is so thankful for his special gifts; reading the nativity story from the bible while wes played along with the nativity scene pieces; long naps for the kids; spending christmas day with mimi and uki; yummy food; great conversations; wonderful family . . .
